Job Brief
Graphic designers are the problem solvers of the design world. Their duties encompass multiple disciplines and cover a wide range of projects, often simultaneously. They create branding projects from the ground up, develop campaign artwork, provide quality art, creative direction, design apps, print materials, websites, and onsite digital experiences. In addition to creating beautiful designs, they know how to explain design concepts and the decisions behind their work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate and conceptualize clear visual ideas, illustrations, assets, and designs
- Assist with brand identities and creative direction
- Create visually engaging and functional mobile, web, and print products
- Work collaboratively with other designers to ensure quality design
- Translate client requirements, user needs, technical requirements into designs that are visually engaging and easy to use
- Draft initial ideas, wireframes, and other assets for digital media purposes
- Develop production-level work within brand guidelines
- Manage and prioritize multiple daily tasks, goals, or projects simultaneously
Requirements and Qualifications
- Working towards Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media Design, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field or 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva and other visual design programs
- A solid foundation in typography, layout, and design
- Efficient time management
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and meet deadlines
- The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously
- A positive attitude, incredible creative ability, and a relentless drive for excellence
- Strong and varied design portfolio
